About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my site!

My name is Kelsey Robinson and I recently completed my M.A. in International Education Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

I strongly believe in the power of international education to produce well-rounded and globally-minded adults. My own experiences studying and working abroad have contributed greatly towards my education, introduced me to lifelong friends around the world, and provided me with a strong foundation in Spanish and German. I am excited and motivated to immerse myself in the field of international education and to assist students with their own culturally immersive experiences.

While pursuing degrees at the University of Denver in International Studies and German Language, I participated in an immersive language program in Germany, studied the aftermath of genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and completed an internship in rural Cambodia, during which I was responsible for teaching English at a local high school. I have continued seeking international learning opportunities since graduation, and have most recently concluded a seven-month intensive Spanish language program in Uruguay. Due to these experiences, I have a firsthand understanding of what sorts of challenges students can encounter before, during, and after their stays abroad. I know how desperate it can feel to not be able to communicate with your host family and the complications involved with falling ill in a foreign country. I also know that none of these experiences compare to the joys of sharing Téréré with a Paraguayan cab driver, successfully telling a cheesy joke in Swiss German, or beating your language teacher at Spanish scrabble.

During my time at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, I had the opportunity to build upon my existing skill set and prepare myself for a career in the dynamic field of international education. My coursework had a strong focus on topics such as marketing, budgeting, staff management, and program design.
